At My Cookery Quest, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how our Weight Loss Tracker tool handles your information.
1. Data Collection & Storage
Unlike many online fitness tools, our Weight Loss Tracker is designed with privacy-first technology.
- Local Storage: All data you enter (starting weight, daily weight updates, and goals) is stored exclusively in your own web browser’s Local Storage.
- No Server Uploads: Your personal weight data is never uploaded to our servers, stored in our databases, or accessible by us.
- No Registration: You are not required to create an account or provide an email address to use the tracker.
2. How Your Data is Used
The data you input is used solely to:
- Calculate your progress toward your 5% or 10% weight loss goal.
- Visualize your journey through the progress bars.
- Generate “Progress Cards” for you to download and share on social media.
3. Cookies and Third-Party Tracking
We may use standard website cookies (such as Google Analytics) to understand general traffic patterns on our site (e.g., how many people visit the page). However, these analytics do not have access to the specific weight data you enter into the tracker.
4. How to Delete Your Data
Because the data is stored on your device, you have full control over it:
- Reset Button: You can clear all data instantly by clicking the “Restart Challenge & Clear Data” button within the app.
- Browser Cache: Clearing your browser’s cache or “Site Data” will also permanently delete your progress.
5. Social Sharing
When you use the social share buttons, the tool generates an image locally on your device. We do not track which social media platforms you share to, nor do we have access to the images you create.
